Chapter Picnic

When: Sunday, July 20, 2008
Time: noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Blatnick Park on River Road in Niskayuna

Join us for an afternoon of activity and fellowship when the Schenectady chapter hosts a picnic for its members. Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns and beverages will be provided (we plan to eat around 1 p.m.), but participants should bring a dish to share. In addition to socializing and camaraderie, the picnic will feature two formal trips:
a bike ride led by Herb Terns will arrive at the park around the time the picnic begins and
a short hike from the park will be led by Gillian Scott.

See the Outings Schedule for details. There is also the option for more informal riding and/or walking from the park, which is located right along the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail. Blatnick Park has picnic tables, a playground, a pavilion in case of inclement weather and public restrooms. Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed.

The event will take place rain or shine.
