Northville-Lake Placid Trail Map

Northville is approximately 45 minutes north of Amsterdam, New York, on NY Route 30, Exit 27 from the New York State Thruway, I-90. Lake Placid is most easily reached via NY Route 73 at Exit 30 of the Adirondack Northway, I-87. It is approximately 2.5 hours north from Albany, NY.

Northville-Lake Placid Trail Map It should be apparent from this map that a wide variety of starting and ending points for doing sections of the trail are possible. The longest stretch between roads is approximately 40 miles through the West Canada Lakes Wilderness Area.

Food may be conveniently mailed ahead to post offices in Piseco, Blue Mountain Lake, and Long Lake for longer trips.
