Chapter ObjectivesTo broaden understanding and support for the New York State constitutional amendment which declared that the Forest Preserve shall be forever kept as wild forest lands.
To promote the acquisition of additional forest land for protection of watershed, wildlife, and recreational use; to advocate sound forest management outside the Forest Preserve. To teach and encourage proper non-destructive recreational use of the woodlands and mountains, and to offer instruction in outdoor skills. To organize and conduct regular outings in the Adirondack and Catskill Preserves, in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Our Creed
