Welcome to the Schenectady Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club!

Here in Schenectady, we’re committed to the ADK’s mission of conservation, preservation, and responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve and other parks, wild lands, and waters.

The ADK is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and advocating for New York State’s wild lands and waters while also teaching people how to enjoy natural places responsibly. Since 1943, the Schenectady Chapter has offered people opportunities to explore New York’s wild lands, as well as protect, discover, and explore the outdoors.

Our chapter has over 1,000 members who enjoy being part of our outdoor community. We hope you’ll join us for a hike, a white water paddle, or for one of our community socials!
